👨‍💻 Job Description

As a Software QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of cutting-edge optical network planning tools used in the telecom industry. This includes executing test plans, reporting bugs, and simulating real-world network scenarios.

You’ll collaborate with developers and engineers across product cycles—from planning to release—contributing to one of the world’s most advanced network infrastructure projects.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

  • Test and validate optical network tools (DWDM, OTN, ROADM, etc.)

  • Develop & execute test cases, scripts, and plans

  • Perform functional, regression & system testing

  • Simulate network scenarios and identify performance issues

  • Report bugs using JIRA or Bugzilla

  • Provide UI/UX feedback

  • Maintain test documentation and improve QA processes

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree: CS, IT, Telecom, EE, etc.

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in telecom QA

  • Good grasp of optical networking: DWDM, SDH/SONET, Ethernet

  • Familiar with network topologies and planning tools

  • Experience with JIRA, TestRail, bug-tracking tools

  • Bonus: Knowledge of Python, Selenium, REST API

  • Analytical mindset and strong debugging skills

  • Awareness of ITU-T, IEEE, MEF standards

  • Experience in Agile or DevOps teams (a plus)

  • Telecom, Electrical, CS, or related disciplines

  • Willing to work in Bangalore (onsite/hybrid as per role)
